Is it ok if I say that? That I'm tired? I know some of my first trimester symptoms that I had (and didn't have) will come back around in the third trimester. One of those being exhaustion. I also know that some of that has to do with my iron being a little low so I'm trying to stay consistent with my iron supplements. The key to that is however...being consistent! Knowing that this time next week though I'll be in the single digit weekly countdown does lift my spirits. I can't believe this amazing journey of pregnancy is going to be over in just a few weeks! In celebration of week 30, I had my second visit to Baby's Kickin. It's just amazing what technology can do! I'll share some pics from today's visit but first let's see what's going on this week!
Roper is about 16 inches—about as long as a laptop computer—and measures almost 11 inches from crown to rump. He weighs approximately 2 1/2 to 3 pounds. When I head back to the doctor next week I am going to see how much she thinks he weighs! From now until delivery, though, every baby gains weight at a more individual rate. Roper has doubled in height over the past six weeks, and from now until delivery, he'll gain only a few more inches in length. Thank goodness! I don't need him coming out as tall as his daddy! He is floating in about 1 1/2 pints of amniotic fluid and has some room to move. His most important organ, his brain, continues to develop at a rapid pace. His eyes are able to track light, and some researchers have theorized that exposing your belly to light may stimulate development. I think I might try putting a flashlight up to my belly tonight and see if I get a reaction from him!! :)
Now that everyone is up to date on what's happening this week...on to the more important part! PICTURES!!! I can't wait to see his sweet little face and see how much he resembles these pictures! Like our first visit he kept his hands in front of his face a lot of the time but we still got some good shots. He was busy moving his mouth this time so maybe he's going to be a talker...or screamer! Enjoy!!
