Help Us Decide!

So...I'm pretty sure we are good to go on a name for Baby Boy Hines!  What we are not good to go on is bedding!  We have narrowed it down to two sets.  One that Curt likes better and one that I like better.  Imagine that.  Naming BBH a name that will last him the rest.of.his.life...not a problem.  Picking out bedding to go in a crib that he will be in maybe a couple of years?!  Brain surgery!  I asked Curt the other night if maybe we should just write down the names of both bedding sets and then see which one we pick.  He wasn't all about that idea.  Then jokingly I said, fine, I'll blog about this and see if we can get our friends to help.  Uh, yeah...he was like, Oh ok...that might be cool!  Really?!?!  :)  So, here we are.  We thought it might be fun to see what our friends think of the bedding sets in question.  We both like both sets, we each just like one of them a little more than the other!

Bedding Set 1:  Tall Tale
This is the set I like better.  It looks babyish but not too babyish.  I really like the colors and although I'm not a fan of animals (don't ask why...I don't know) I like the giraffes.  Our furniture that we have ordered is dark like what is in this picture and I think with the right color walls this could be really cute.  It has lots of matching accessories such as a mobil, wall art, and a valance.  You can get a pretty good idea of what this set looks like from this one picture.  What do you think?  Check out more pics here.

Bedding Set 2:  Junior Varsity
This is the set Curt likes best.  Don't get me wrong, I like this too.  I guess it just doesn't scream baby like the Tall Tales.  We had originally talked that if we were having a boy we would do a vintage sports theme.  This is the only bedding set that we have found so far with a sports theme that we like.  It's not overwhelmed with jungle animals playing sports and we like the colors on this the best.  I think Curt thinks that the red and blue could match his idea of "accessories", however, I am the mother and I do not think so!  ;)  How do you feel about this one?  You can check out more pictures of this set here.

Ok so the rest is left up to anyone who reads this.  Just leave us a little comment on which bedding set you like best.  It will help us make up our minds a little easier...hopefully!  Plus this is just another fun little thing that I get to add to the blog and one day go back and read about how hard it was for us to pick out baby bedding!  Hope little BBH appreciates this one day!  :)

  1. Tall Tales...hands down!! SO cute!

Being a mama of 2 boys, I feel like we're bombarded with so much sports stuff anyways and it definitely feels like an older boy "theme". Eventually, I'm sure they will pick something like this for their rooms, but for the time being I like keeping it a little more innocent feeling, you know what I mean? I do like the sports one but it just feels like a 7 or 8 year old room to me. :)

  3. I like them both, but I'd pick tall tales and I love the colors!

I agree with Mandy, boys will flock to sports stuff and trucks and cars as they get older. Go with something more baby while you can!

  4. I am liking tall tales. having a boy..i know they will get into sports stuff by themselves...without any pressure from parents... let him have something babyish while he is a baby! sports will come soon enough!

  5. I agree with all of the above!! Athough I am like you when it comes to 'animal' bedding, I am a sucker for some giraffes for some reason!!! HA! =)

You may kill me for saying this, but I already have both sets of mine picked out!! HAHAHA... =)
