Goodbye 1st Tri Hello 2nd!

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords...savor this, their non-functional phase.  Baby is approaching normal normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body.  Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy.  (Much more convenient.)

HIP HIP HOORAY!!  We're welcoming week 13 with open arms!  I'm so excited!!  I can't believe I've been pregnant for 13 weeks!  That's 91 days!!  That's 3 months and a week!  That's 2184 hours!  13 weeks is also falling on February 7 which is my anniversary date of when I quit smoking!  I've been smoke free for 2 years today!  Not a drag, not a puff, nothing!  I quit after Curt and I got engaged and other than marrying him...quitting was the next best thing I did in 2009!  Obviously I'm thrilled now that I don't smoke since I'm prego and all!  I don't want to do anything that would harm Baby H!!  Which now leads me to going to the dentist today!  Did you know that dental issues can lead to heart issues!?  I did not!  I also did not know that dental issues could lead to pre-term labor?!  I've been having an issue with my teeth for a while now but in the last few weeks it's gotten bad enough that I knew I needed to do something.  I went to the dentist today and got a temporary crown put on.  My gums have been and are severely irritated but I'm hoping this will get the job done!  I go back in 4 weeks....the week of the SEC basketball tourney to get my permanent put in!  Hope that seals the deal because it will be pretty hard for me to yell at the b-ballers with a jacked up mouth!  :)  Anyhoo...I guess that is about all for today.
