Christmas

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle All the Way...

Our first Christmas as a little family of 3 was busy but memorable!  We started our Christmas weekend off    by going to my parents house on Christmas Eve.  Not only did Santa stop by to see Roper with lots of goodies but he also must have thought I had been extra good because I got a miter saw and a router...with a router bit kit!!  {I'm stoked about this and will do another post later to show off my wood working skills!}  Curt must have been on Santa's good list too because he got several of the things he told Santa he would like to have!  After my parents house we loaded up and went to Sheila and Jody's to spend the rest of the Christmas Eve evening with the Dickerson klan!  That side of the family is growing every year seems like!!  Roper was the new baby this year and there will be another new baby boy next year!  After Dirty Santa and the little kids opening their gifts we loaded up and headed home for the night.  We woke up Christmas morning in a slight hustle and bustle to get to Curt's dads house.  We exchanged gifts with the John, Holli, MawMaw and Popaw then headed to church.  After hearing some of the kids at church read the Christmas Story we headed to my Grandmother's house.  Since we eat at her house for Thanksgiving we went there to just hang out and see the Roper side of the family before heading back to John's for lunch.  Roper handled being bussed from one place to another fairly well all day.  After getting back to John's house Roper had a bottle and then took a good long nap!!  It was good to see Curt's cousins and their kids along with his aunts and uncles that we don't see often!  Christmas night was spent at home.  Just the 3 of us.  And we enjoyed every moment!!  Next year Roper will be all about the paper and boxes I'm sure and I can't wait {well really I can} to watch his little face light up!!  Here are some pics from our first Christmas!!
