Week 35 {The Countdown is On}

I purposely held off posting on Monday for a couple of reasons.  One reason being my mom had surgery to remove her gallbladder and I was with her all day.  She's done so much for me and taken care of me plenty of times so it was a no-brainer that I take care of her!  The other reason I held off was because I knew I was going to the doctor on Tuesday.  I thought I might mention a thing or two from that visit.

By week 35, Roper's kidneys are completely developed. His liver is also beginning to produce waste. In fact, a majority of his growth is already done.  Although he is still gaining weight he might be close to his actual birth length from head to toe.  As space is at a premium, his movement has definitely slowed down a bit but I can feel him rolling over and wiggling around!  While I was at the doctor on Tuesday I learned that Roper is officially head down!  I told Dr. Turner that he has mostly stayed on my right side.  He does move around but seems that the right side has been his favorite spot to hang out.  She said that it is normal for a baby to pick one spot.  I was half a centimeter dilated and about twenty percent thinned out.  I know that seems like not a big deal...however, it is/was a big deal to me.  Having progressed some  compared to none is AWESOME!  :)  I go back to the doctor on Monday so maybe I'll have progressed a bit more!
