Week 33/2nd Anniversary/Demo Day

Another week down!!  Ohh wee, are we getting excited at the Hines house!  Roper has been blessed beyond words with gifts from people who are just as eager as his parents to meet him!!  I really can't believe in 49 days (give or take) we will be holding him and just staring at him!!  Today is also mine and Curt's second wedding anniversary!  What a great way to celebrate knowing our first baby is on his way!  I thank God for allowing Curt and I to be on the same path as a married couple and now as parents.  Annnd today was also DEMO day for the nursery.  Today parts of the wall got knocked out and the insides are drying out!  Thankfully Serve Pro of Tupelo are on top of things and know that I we are very anxious about getting our nursery together before Roper decides it's time for him to make his grand debut!  I'll take a dry and put together nursery for an anniversary gift any day!!  The outside, where our problem is coming from, will be taken care of no later than Thursday of this week and that means that we can have carpet put down by the first of next week!  *sigh*  Finding out all of that today lifts my dampened (no pun intended) spirits!!

So, now on to what Roper is up to this week!!

Roper's crown-to-rump length is about 11 1/2 inches. He weighs about 4 1/2 pounds and gains about eight ounces every week.  We go to the doctor tomorrow thought so I'm going to see if my doctor can tell me more of an exact estimate about Roper's length and weight rather than the average.  I'm pretty sure he is still in the head-down position and it's possible that he may descend and "drop" at any time in the next six weeks.  This position not only prepares him for birth but allows blood to flow to his developing brain.  Roper is also in the process of receiving my antibodies. If he were born right now, his immune system would be immature, and extra care would need to be taken to keep him in a sterile environment so with that being said, while we are super excited about meeting him, we don't want him to make his debut quit yet!  Oh and this week kicks off month 8 so that means we are a new fruit!!  A Honeydew!  Kinda funny huh??  Our baby is the size of a honeydew...and here lately I have a "honey do" list for Curt more than ever!  :)
I really think Roper is bigger than this...Just sayin...
this is what's going on in the nursery right now...
