Week 21: It's All Down Hill from Here

That's right...we are on the downhill side people!!  19 weeks or about 4 months and 3 weeks, or about 134 days left!  Sounds like a lot but if this second half goes by as quickly as the first half did then it should be a piece of cake!  We finally came to an agreement on the bedding!  For those that left comments, they were all read and definitely helped in the decision making!!  Tall Tales was the winner!!!!  Just as we were getting ready to place our order online I was informed that I might want to check out Premier Prints in Sherman.  So, we did.  And, well...we aren't going with Tall Tales after all!!  :)  I am super excited with what we have picked out and I can't wait to share it with you!!  We are going tomorrow to make it official and get started with the ordering process.  One reason I love this idea so much is because we are getting to "design" it ourselves and well, I think that's pretty special!!  Here's a sneak peak....

Hopefully in 4-6 weeks we'll get to see the finished product!!  Now...onto what BBH is up to this week...he's a banana!!

Only a little more than 3 ounces away from being a whole pound!!!  BBH is gulping down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.  Hmm...wonder if he's going to love string cheese as much as I do!?  The hair on his scalp is more visible and by this week he has probably developed eyelashes and eyebrows!  He is waking and sleeping in regular intervals, which I have definitely figured out.  He is more active in the mornings and nights.  His intestines also start slowly relaxing and contracting this week.  Notice any small, repetitive movements in your abdomen? It may be his first case of the hiccups! Usually, these movements occur for a few minutes at a time. As your baby grows larger, these movements will feel stronger.
