U win some U lose some

Well, after a long day in the Grove yesterday, the Rebels couldn't quit hold back the number one ranked Auburn War Eagles.  Hate it for you guys, I really do.  With that being said, the Bulldogs pulled off yet ANOTHER win against the Kentucky Wildcats.  I'm happier than ever to call myself a Bulldog!


Yesterday was not only a great day to be a Bulldog fan, but a great day to be ME!  My mom and I are challenging ourselves to a little weight loss contest.  Here are the rules.  We both gave up three things that we eat/drink regularly.  If either of us cheat during the week we have to go to the other's home and do one task that is on their list.  Like giving up fast food (burgers and fries), soft drinks (I'd kill for a nice cold Sprite), AND alcohol.  Like all that isn't enough, we also have to work out at least three times a week for 30 minutes and drink sixty-four ounces of water a day!  REALLY?  REALLY??  Anyhow, I won't lie, I was nervous about our all day trip to Oxford.  Being around friends, food, and drinks was going to be a bit overwhelming for me...or so I thought.  I totally surprised myself along with several others.  Before you tag me as one with a problem though, let's clarify.  I DO NOT.  I simply have the utmost respect for a fabulous bottle of wine!  I didn't have ONE drop of an adult beverage nor did I over indulge in any of the fabulous BBQ or other treats that laid in front of me!  It was a good feeling knowing that I do have the self-control I always wonder about.  :)  Bring on week 2!
